Our Team
Kelly Stewart Parrish
Co-Founder and CEO
Kelly bridgings her background in education and her personal journey with grief to help others find healing. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Spalding University and a Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, Kelly spent 15 years as an educator before transitioning into grief support work. She is certified in the Grief Recovery Method, a Certified Grief Educator, and a graduate of the Kosair Charities Leadership Development Institute at Spalding University.
Kelly’s path to founding Camberwell began after the heartbreaking loss of her oldest daughter, Kaytryn, in 2012. In the depths of grief, Kelly and her husband Mark felt called to create a space where individuals and families could process loss with compassion and community. Camberwell Grief Sanctuary was born from that vision—a healing refuge in nature where grief is honored, and no one walks alone.
For the past six years, Kelly has led Camberwell with the hope that every person who visits feels seen, supported, and embraced as part of the Camberwell family. Her mission is rooted in love, purpose, and the belief that even in loss, healing is possible. Outside of her work, Kelly cherishes time with her family and finds peace in the very spaces Camberwell was built to nurture quiet, natural places that offer comfort and connection.
Mark Parrish
Co-Founder and Clinical Director
Mark takes more than 30 years of experience as a licensed marriage and family therapist to his work with individuals and families navigating grief and trauma. With a Master’s Degree in Education and a career dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, couples, and families, Mark has served as both a clinician and an educator. Before co-founding Camberwell, he was Chief Operating Officer of The Inner View Counseling & Consultation Services and has also mentored graduate and post-graduate students as an AAMFT Clinical Fellow and Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Mark’s path to founding Camberwell was shaped by his own loss—the death of his oldest daughter, Kaytryn, in 2012. In the aftermath, he and his wife Kelly felt called to create a sanctuary where grief could be honored and healing could take root. At Camberwell, Mark blends his clinical expertise with his personal journey, offering compassionate guidance to those experiencing loss. His mission is rooted in the belief that no one should walk through grief alone and that, even in sorrow, there is hope for healing and connection. Outside of his work, Mark finds strength in family and renewal in the same natural spaces that inspired Camberwell’s creation.
